I think I need an Attitude Adjustment.

Sounds like you've got the attitude adjustment started already:

Maybe the children's book is just one example among many you're working on of adding closure? in other words, by finishing it up, reactivating the spec script, etc., you're implementing the attitude adjustment already.
Or maybe it's just late at night and thoughts that seem logically connected just aren't.
